St. Peter's & St. Paul's is a beautiful rural Essex church, sited at the centre of St. Osyth village. The churchyard is very open & has a footpath around it, bypassing the central crossroads to the village green. St. Peter's & St. Paul's is a very interesting building with a varied mix of stone & red-brick in its construction. The exterior has plenty of intricate details to spot, but the interior is even more attractive. There's a decorative use of stone & red-brick inside the church with some very ornate features of interest...

The church dates back to the C12 and has undergone many revisions through the years. It has a great blend of old and new which has been tastefully and expertly.
The church boasts a Sheepfold rail, one of only 2 in the country but this is unique in that the open end faces the congregation such that the are inside the rail to receive Communion.
Open daily and well worth a visit.
